Fall Asleep, While I Draw Out My Creativity
A poetry article for my email subscribers
Behind The Scenes Of A Lazy Author (LOL)
So there’s this game called Elden Ring, ever heard of it? Yes? No? Anyway, it’s been consuming my life for the past week now. The game is extremely hard to play – well, until you understand it. Then you get to making builds, and beating everything that has a butt (lol). But anyway, enough of my lazy gamer update, time for some poetry 😊
I Hate Dwelling…
Soooooo…another update. This time, it’ll be strictly about poetry. It’s been a little bit over a month since I published anything, and heaven only knows the load of content I’ve got to publish. But I want to give the rapid release style a break. I hate seeing my art just come and go. At least for me. I know others still enjoy it, but I’m always on to something else, as soon as I finish one thing. That’s sort of me in real life though, I don’t dwell on things. At least, not for long periods of time.
4 Narratives In 1
My poetry books will be divided into 4 sections. Each section will average 50-70 poems, averaging 200 poems per poetry book. This will also bring the price up to 1.99 for each of my poetry books, though paid email subscribers will still get the e-book for free. With all this being said, the purpose of becoming any type of email subscriber, is for the benefits of the craft. Just because less books will be published, I will still be sending out tons of poetry packs and other things I have in the works. Trust me, you will surely maintain a reason to be an email subscriber.
Big Enough For My Screen…
As I said, my publishing schedule will be a lot tighter, and better planned. I want to build hype for these books, this in return, will project higher sells (just being honest). Though it’s not just about the sells. To put in simple, my mind thinks of these releases like expansions or DLC’s to video games. Or for those who aren’t gamers, think of these releases as movies. When I just shadow/surprise drop my books, their more like independent films, or updates/DLC’s, to a video game. Small projects that just pass by. But planning them and showing sneak previews of them, as well as increasing their size, will make them feel more like expensive films, or large expansions to me. Something worth being on my mind’s projected big screen.
If Only Vampires Didn’t…
To dig further into what I have been working on, half of a large poetry book I have been working on, is done. So basically, two of the four sections have been completed. But I don’t want these newer formats of poetry books to fill like filler, so, I’ve continued the liner narrative formatting that I have recently been doing. Each of my sections will tell a different story, brought about in poetry form. The first section tells the story of a vampire who stalks and preys on one girl, every night, while she sleeps. Though he can’t give into his animalistic ways with her. He watches her as she sleeps, but refuses to feed on her, nearly starving himself for nights, as he watches her sleep, nights in a row. She eventually discovers him, and the two leave off together. I thought about telling how it ends, but changed my mind in the mist of writing this 😊
My Name Is Adam, Where Is My Eve
The second section tells the story of Adam and Eve, my own fictional aftermath of things. The point of view is Adam’s, as he searches all over the earth after being kicked out of Paradise, looking for Eve. He eventually finds her merged into some sort of divine tree that God has punished her to. This tree keeps her in an endless sleep, and feeds off her immortality, granting her some form of suffering for the end of time. Adam discovers that by coming under the tree’s spell as well, he can venture into Eve’s dreams, finding the one way to free her. This ends with him merging their bodies together, so that they can never be separated again. Basically, Adam gives his life to her. His body and essence. He becomes her rib this time. Because of this, she is freed, taking the image of her own body, as well as being able to continue to pilot her own body. Though she can feel Adam always, inside of her.
Art Always Has A Story To Tell…
In the mist of me writing this I was going to talk about the next two planned sections of the book, but I decided not to. I’ll save that for a later date. Anyway, linear story telling within my poetry, seems to be the way for me, going forward. Alone, these poems will still have meaning. They will still be relatable. But together…together they will tell stories, sharing your world…and mines.
