Maybe When We Meet
Poetry for a desperate heart
(5)Maybe When We Meet
Brushed by life's paintbrush
We've become a portrait.
Something worth memorizing
I can promise, I won't forget you.
It'll be easier, if we didn't meet
No expectations, no need for more.
We'll never let things happen this way
We're both falling, at the same speed.
Maybe when we meet
The butterflies in my stomach, will leave.
Maybe when we meet
You'll be granted a wish - poof, pop, it's true love.
Those echoes in your mind
I get them too
Maybe when we meet
The world will turn on its side, and you'll fall into me.
Turned over
Turning over to me
I catch your morning smile.
Burning light
Curtains half open
Your eyes, barely stay open.
You hide your face, reaching for makeup
I grab your wrist
Beautiful, beautiful, I've got you
Why do you believe, there's a mistake on you?
Maybe when we meet
The butterflies in my stomach, will leave.
Maybe when we meet
You'll be granted a wish - poof, pop, it's true love.
Those echoes in your mind
I get them too
Maybe when we meet
The world will turn on its side, and you'll fall into me.
